{"id":1945,"date":"2012-08-02T11:04:53","date_gmt":"2012-08-02T11:04:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/zierhut.cmstest.de\/?p=1945"},"modified":"2017-11-03T20:37:23","modified_gmt":"2017-11-03T19:37:23","slug":"zentrum-fuer-kunst-und-soziokultur-maschinenhalle-schiffbauergasse","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.zierhut-architekten.de\/en\/architecture\/refurbishment\/zentrum-fuer-kunst-und-soziokultur-maschinenhalle-schiffbauergasse\/","title":{"rendered":"ARTS AND CULTURAL CENTER &#8211; MASCHINENHALLE SCHIFFBAUERGASSE POTSDAM"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The cultural site Schiffbauergasse lies at the nexus of the Humboldt bridge, the Berliner Street and the Deep Sea east of the Potsdam city center .<br \/>\nThe ensemble consists of several buildings that were built for different industrial and military purposes, but now house various cultural institutions.<br \/>\nThe former stables were developed into the Museum Fluxus, a theater and a gallery  and a former riding hall  was converted to an event hall for the youth center \u201eWaschhaus\u201c.<\/p>\n<p>The Machine Hall was built in 1955 with a reinforced concrete frame construction in an industrial architectural style as a simple utility building for the municipal gas works. The free standing building is listed in the historical register.It has been used since 1991 by the fabrik e.V., a modern dance theater.
